History & Tradition
The Athletic Department at Homestead High School is built on a proud legacy of achievement and excellence. For generations, Homestead Senior has fielded competitive teams that inspire pride throughout our school and community. Our commitment to academic success ensures that student-athletes excel not only on the playing fields and courts but also in the classroom. This tradition of hard work and dedication has produced remarkable results—our athletic program proudly claims two Super Bowl champions and several current and former professional athletes.
Homestead Bronco Athletics Vision
Homestead Athletics aspires to be a national model for student success, graduating inspired and conscientious leaders who positively impact their communities. Our vision is rooted in excellence, developing well-rounded individuals prepared for life beyond high school.
Homestead Bronco Athletics Mission
The Bronco Athletic Department is committed to fostering a relationship-driven, student-athlete-centered culture that promotes academic achievement, athletic excellence, and social growth. As leaders within our school, we rise collectively to elevate the profile of Homestead Senior High and uphold its proud tradition.
Core Values
Student-athletes who represent Homestead Senior High in interscholastic competition will demonstrate:
  • Integrity and Ethics in all actions
  • Outstanding Sportsmanship on and off the field
  • Responsibility and Accountability for personal and team success
  • Respect for All—self, family, teammates, opponents, and officials, regardless of ethnicity, race, religion, gender, or physical ability
As ambassadors of Miami-Dade County Public Schools and Homestead Senior High, every Bronco student-athlete commits to these core values and team standards, ensuring our tradition of excellence continues.
Bronco Spectator Policy
Homestead Senior High School requires that all spectators of any school-sponsored athletic event demonstrate proper sportsmanship.
Bronco Sportsmanship Expectations
At Homestead High, we believe that true sportsmanship reflects the pride and tradition of being a Bronco. To ensure a positive experience for all, we ask every fan and spectator to uphold these expectations:
  • Cheers and Signs: Keep them positive, respectful, and encouraging—support our team without disrespecting others.
  • Courtesy Counts: Be considerate and courteous before, during, and after the game.
  • No Noisemakers: Items such as horns, whistles, or artificial noise devices are not permitted at any athletic event.
  • No Throwing Objects: Throwing any object is strictly prohibited and will not be tolerated.
  • Compliance Matters: Failure to follow these expectations will result in immediate removal from the contest.
  • Repeat Violations: Spectators who repeatedly disregard these rules will lose the privilege to attend future events.
Remember:
Let the players play. Let the coaches coach. Let the officials officiate.
Thank you for supporting Homestead Athletics with pride and respect!
