History, Tradition, and Excellence

 

The Athletic Department at Homestead Senior High School is built upon a rich tradition of excellence, pride, and achievement. For generations, Bronco Athletics has provided student-athletes with opportunities to compete at the highest levels while developing the character, discipline, and leadership skills necessary for success in life.

Our commitment extends beyond athletic competition. At Homestead, we believe that academic achievement is the foundation of every successful student-athlete. Through dedication in the classroom and on the field of play, our athletes learn the value of hard work, perseverance, and responsibility.

This proud tradition has produced numerous collegiate athletes, professional competitors, and community leaders. Among our most notable accomplishments are the development of two Super Bowl champions, along with several current and former professional athletes who proudly represent the Bronco legacy.

Student-athletes representing Homestead Senior High School in interscholastic competition are expected to demonstrate:

Being accountable for personal actions, academic performance, and team commitments.

Treating all individuals with dignity regardless of race, ethnicity, religion, gender, background, or ability.

Striving for continuous improvement in academics, athletics, and personal character.

As ambassadors of both Homestead Senior High School and Miami-Dade County Public Schools, Bronco student-athletes commit themselves to these values each day, ensuring that our tradition of excellence continues for future generations.

Homestead Senior High School expects all spectators attending school-sponsored athletic events to demonstrate positive behavior and good sportsmanship. We are committed to providing a safe, respectful, and enjoyable environment for student-athletes, coaches, officials, and fans.

 

Being a Bronco means representing our school with class and respect. We ask all spectators to support our athletes by following these expectations:

Cheer enthusiastically for our team while showing respect for opponents, coaches, officials, and fellow spectators.

Display courtesy and good behavior before, during, and after all athletic contests.

Horns, whistles, megaphones, air horns, and other artificial noise-making devices are prohibited at athletic events.

The throwing of any object onto the playing surface, track, court, or spectator areas is strictly prohibited.

Failure to comply with school, district, or event guidelines may result in immediate removal from the event.

Individuals who repeatedly violate sportsmanship expectations may lose the privilege of attending future athletic events.
