Dear Parents and Community Members,
Welcome to the 2025-2026 school year at Homestead Senior High School! As we begin this new chapter, I’m filled with excitement and optimism for what lies ahead. This year, our theme is Bronco Built: In “A” League of Our Own. This theme truly underscores the vital role school spirit plays in our collective success. Over the last few years, we’ve laid a strong foundation for our students’ futures, and now it’s time to take the next bold step!
I’m incredibly proud to share some of the remarkable achievements we’ve accomplished together. Our growth has been truly unmatched, a testament to the collective “hard work, heart, and hustle” that defines our Bronco family. Thanks to your exceptional efforts, we achieved a “B” school grade for the fourth consecutive year! This is a remarkable accomplishment and speaks volumes about the quality of education and support we provide our students. We improved results in 8 out of 10 school grade components, demonstrating the effectiveness of our collaborative efforts and the dedication of our students, faculty, and staff. We were incredibly close to an “A” last year, missing it by a mere two percentage points. This shows just how close we are to reaching that next level, and our primary goal this year is to earn that well-deserved “A” school grade!
For the first time in our school’s history, Homestead Senior High School also earned the coveted Magnet Schools of America designation as a Magnet School of Excellence. This prestigious honor reflects our unwavering commitment to excellence and innovation in education and is a testament to the hard work and creativity of our entire school community. We’ve also seen an increase in student enrollment, which speaks volumes about the trust and confidence families place in our school. This growth presents both opportunities and challenges, and we’re ready to meet them with determination and enthusiasm.
Homestead Senior High is not just a place of academic achievement, but also a vibrant hub of activities, athletics, arts, and performing arts programs. Our students have excelled in various fields, showcasing their talents and dedication. From winning championships in athletics to delivering stunning performances in dance, cheer, and music, our extracurricular programs have brought extraordinary success and recognition to our school. These activities provide our students with invaluable experiences, helping them develop leadership skills, teamwork, and a passion for excellence.
Most importantly, we successfully graduated more than 99% of our students last year, one of the highest graduation rates among traditional high schools in our district! This outstanding accomplishment is a testament to the relentless efforts of our teachers, staff, parents, and, of course, our hardworking students. It underscores our commitment to ensuring that every student receives the support and resources they need to succeed.
As we embark on this new school year, I want to emphasize the crucial role that you, our parents and community members, play in the success of our students and our school. Your support, involvement, and partnership are integral to the achievements we celebrate and the goals we set for the future. Together, we can create a nurturing and empowering environment where every student can thrive. I encourage you to stay engaged, communicate openly with our teachers and staff, and participate in school events and activities. Your involvement makes a significant difference in your child’s educational experience and contributes to the overall success of our school community.
Our theme, Bronco Built: In “A” League of Our Own, is a powerful reminder that Homestead Senior High is where the journey to success truly starts. By working together, with our sights set firmly on achieving that “A” school grade, we can ensure that our students have the firm foundation they need to achieve their dreams and reach their full potential.
Thank you for your unwavering support and commitment to our school. Let’s make this year the best one yet, filled with growth, achievement, and shared success.
Warm regards,
Samuel J. Louis, Principal
