History & Tradition

The Athletic Department at Homestead High has a history of achievement and excellence. Homestead Senior continues to field teams that are a source of pride to both our school and community. An emphasis on academic expectations has resulted in our student-athletes excelling in the classroom as well as the playing fields and courts. Our Athletic program boasts two Super Bowl champions and a number of current professional players.

Bronco Student-Athlete Mission Statement

The vision for Homestead Athletics is that we will be a national model for students’ success; graduating inspired and conscientious students with leadership skills to positively impact the community. The mission of the Bronco Athletic Department is to foster a relationship-driven, student-athlete-centered culture of development for academic, athletic, and social growth. As leaders for the high school, we rise collectively to enhance and elevate the profile of the institution. The student-athlete who participates in interscholastic competition here at Homestead Senior High will demonstrate high standards of ethics, excellent sportsmanship, responsibility, and accountability. All Bronco student-athletes are expected to exhibit a high degree of respect for self, family, fellow Broncos, and all opponents regardless of ethnicity, race, religion, gender, or physical condition. As representatives of Miami-Dade County Public Schools and more specifically Homestead Senior High, student participants make a commitment to adhere to the above-presented core values and team rules.

Bronco Spectator Policy

Homestead Senior High School requires that all spectators of any school-sponsored athletic event demonstrate proper sportsmanship.

Bronco Sportsmanship Expectations:

  • Cheers and Signs are to be positive and respectful.
Fans are to be considerate and courteous before, during, and after the game.
  • No noisemakers of any kind are allowed at any athletic event.
  • Throwing any object will not be tolerated.
Failure to comply with the Bronco Spectator Expectations will result in the immediate removal from the contest.
  • Additionally, spectators who repeatedly violate the Bronco Spectator Expectations will not be permitted to attend future events.

Let the Players play, let the Coaches coach, and let the Officials officiate, Homestead Athletics thank you!
